U-STORE-IT Installs INSOMNIAC 800 in Maryland
Facility Leverages Technology to Rent Units for Weekends and After Hours
PHOENIX, Arizona – March 4, 2008 – OpenTech Alliance, Inc., today announced that U-Store-It Trust (NYSE:YSI) has implemented an INSOMNIACtm kiosk at one of their Maryland facilities. The kiosk is used primarily to process new rentals and collect monthly payments when the property manager is busy, after office hours, and on days the office is closed. The kiosk is located inside a 24 hour access vestibule at the front entrance of the facility. In the first 30 days of operation the kiosk has helped over 100 customers make a payment or rent a unit.
We worked closely with Kristi Gubbels and the team at U-Store-It to understand how they run their operation and what they wanted to accomplish with our INSOMNIAC," said Robert Chiti, President and CEO of OpenTech Alliance. He added, "We all felt it was important to brand the kiosk with the U-Store-It colors and logo so their customers would immediately feel comfortable using it."
Regards,
Ben.
